Stay spiritually healthy by letting the Word of God and Holy Spirit help you wash all of that sin out.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And as a quadriplegic, having a cold is no fun. I mean, picture it: I have virtually no chest or abdominal muscles. So, in order to cough, someone has to get behind my wheelchair, reach around me and squeeze my abdomen while, at the same time, another gets in front and pushes under my lungs. Between all three of us, it’s one, two, three—cough and cough hard. Without the help of strong friends, the phlegm in my lungs would build up and lead to pneumonia—and that is deadly for quadriplegics like me! But it’s no different when it comes to sin in our lives. Ephesians 4 tells us to: “Get rid of all bitterness, and rage and anger … along with every form of malice.” Why? Well, those deadly things ruin our spiritual health. So today, stay spiritually healthy—and with the help of God’s Word and the Holy Spirit—get that sinful gunk out!
