Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. A few years ago, Mark went on a Wheels for the World trip to Peru. While distributing wheelchairs, he met a poor, elderly woman named Julissa. Because of her age, she could no longer get around without someone carrying her. When Mark provided Julissa a wheelchair, words could not express her excitement and gratitude. So, she gave him two eggs. That’s right – eggs. Most likely those eggs were all Julissa would have to eat for that day. But the old woman was insistent. Mark will never forget that person who expressed her thanks with two eggs. It’s like Jesus said, “This poor widow, out of her poverty, gave everything.” Oh, friend experiences like this happen all the time at Wheels for the World.
