Prepare yourself with good words and get ready to give grace to whomever you meet.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. God’s word is filled with so many practical life applications. Take Ephesians 4. In the 29th verse, it says, “Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, that it may give grace to those who hear.” I mean, think of all the times you get into conversations. Whether it’s with your kids on the way to school, your coworkers or with the clerk at the counter. The Bible says that our words should not be unwholesome; that is, uncaring or unhelpful, but they should be goodwords that build up other people with encouragement and a Christ-like perspective. When you woke up this morning, you didn’t realize it, but God already had someone in mind he wants to reach today. So, prepare yourself with good words and be ready to give grace to whomever you meet.
