When you’re feeling overwhelmed, don’t forget God’s promise that he’s coming again. You were purchased with a price. Remember his kindness. It’s a great covenant and it’s worth remembering.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Following Christ is so often a matter of the will. I'm thinking of that wonderful Psalm that says, “I will remember the deeds of the Lord.” You see, when I’m feeling overwhelmed by pain, or frustrated with the discomforts of my wheelchair, I need to remind my grumbling spirit that God is good, all the time.So today, I am making a covenant to not forget his many kindnesses toward me—and I invite you to join me. I will remember what he did on the cross and I will recall his promise that he’s coming again. I will not forget I was purchased with a price, and I will praise him for his faithfulness in all my days past. I will remember—I'll remember to press on, strive, push forward, pray, love and trust my God. And I hope that you will, too, if today you are feeling downcast or troubled. It’s a great covenant and it’s worth remembering from all of us here at joniandfriends.org.
