Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And have you ever heard of that expression, “I know the stuff he’s made of”? Well, I’m sure you have. And, if we are honest with ourselves, we’d like to think that the stuff of which we are made of is good, it’s tough, reliable, and virtuous. But the other day, I was looking up Psalm 103 and I came across the 14th verse. It speaks to the stuff of which we are all made, and it says, “God knows how we are formed, and he remembers that we are dust.” Friend, that’s the stuff – of which you and I are made – dust, dirt. And that’s not very flattering is it, but it is comforting because it means that God knows your weaknesses and faults. So, may the dust of which you’re made today drive you to Christ out of desperate need. Gone will be your illusions and grandiose ideas about your strength and your fine character. Do you know the stuff of which you’re made? Well just remember, God knows.
