Instead of wallowing in the despair of your limitations, use them to show how awesome the Lord is.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and from God, all things are possible! I’m thinking of 15-year-old Eli who has Down syndrome. This teenager has accomplished something most adults can only dream of. Earlier this year, Eli climbed a good portion of Mount Everest! With the approval of his doctor and in the company of his father, Eli hiked 17,600 feet—wow! Isaiah 40 tells us, “Go up on a high mountain… Lift your voice with a shout, lift it up, do not be afraid; say to the towns of Judah, ‘Here is your God!’” Bless Eli’s heart, he tackled that high mountain and was not afraid of the challenge. And in a way, his accomplishment shouted, “Here is your God!” The God of the Bible who laughs at impossibilities and, through his strength, makes all things possible. Hey, friend, whatever your limitation, let your accomplishments show the world how awesome is the Lord.
