Joni shares a story about her friend Tana who uses gift baskets to bless others. Join Tana in using the gifts God gave you to serve and bring him all the glory.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And my friend Tana, who has cerebral palsy, asked God to show her how she might use her gifts to strengthen the Body of Christ. God told her to offer his encouragement to others, and so Tana came up with the idea of “baskets of blessings.” Her grandpa provided the seed funds, but Tana does all the work. She selects every gift item and places it just so in the basket. Tana's church is constantly ordering her baskets, many for overseas missionaries that the congregation supports. Now this is disability ministry at work! 1 Peter 4:10-11 says, “As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another … so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ.” Oh friend, God’s given you gifts, so join Tana in using those gifts to serve others. You’ll be bringing God all the glory.
