God is always going where you least expect him, but his intrusion brings deliverance and salvation from sin. Let his grace rest upon you today.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada with an intriguing thought: God is an intruder. I mean, think of it. He was the unwelcomed guest at Belshazzar’s feast, writing doom and gloom on the wall while the revelers gagged on their wine. God talked out of turn in Judah and Galilee with words that “no man spoke before.” He crashed the temple courtyards, overturning tables and kicking commerce out the door with a whip of cords. He even intruded into the womb of a virgin. You see, God is always going where we least expect him. He encroaches into our lives, invades, infringes. But it’s because he has invaded and established residence in my heart that I find peace. It’s because he boldly intrudes into my sin, calling it what it is and challenging me to leave it behind, that I’m restored. We don’t always like intrusions, but when it comes to God, intrusion brings deliverance and salvation. Let God invade your life today, and let his grace rest on you.
