If you’re angry today, turn it Godward and you can’t go wrong.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. You know, anger is just part of what it means to be human, and virtually all believers experience it. But rather than explode, take it out on others, or punch a pillow, may I suggest that you take your anger to God? Find words for your frustration, like in Psalm 13 where it says, “Oh, Lord how long will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? How long must I have sorrow in my heart all the day?” The Bible invites us to express our frustrations before the Lord, even our anger as long as we are turning it Godward. Trouble is, many Christians express their anger against God, bad-mouthing Him to others, and sowing seeds of mistrust – that’s when you only dig a deeper pit. But when you turn your anger Godward, you are stepping under the shower of His mercy to ask for His help. Are you angry today? Turn it Godward and you can’t go wrong.
