Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And when Postima arrived at our Wheels for the World outreach in El Salvador with her disabled son, she looked so down. She said, “I used to go to church, but I have become so discouraged. My husband does not want to help with our son Juan. He wants to leave us because life is so hard. I know God wants to show my husband that Juan is a valuable person—but how?” Well, that day, God answered Postima’s plea for help. Because with his new wheelchair, little Juan can now go to school, and be more independent, and someday he may get a job. What’s more, we pointed her to 1 Corinthians 12, where it says, “the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable.” Friend, kids with disabilities are of great value to God.
