Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada with a great story of how the church really helps hurting people! Kim Yap Soon is a quadriplegic living in Malaysia. He broke his neck in a motorcycle accident several years ago and through it, he met a missionary who led him to Christ. Kim was amazed to think God had a plan for his life in a wheelchair. But then, the missionary moved on and Kim sank into depression. That is when he emailed me. I knew Kim felt alone. But I remembered that in 2007, I had spoken at a church in Malaysia. So, I wrote the pastor halfway around the world to ask if someone from his church could please visit Kim. Well, someone did and he was so excited! They even organized a Bible Study in his home.
