Don’t keep it to yourself – the hope and joy of Jesus should be shared so everyone can leap for joy!
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And when you hear good news, you just have to share it, don’t you? I’m thinking of Mary, the mother of Jesus. The gospels say that when the angel announced to Mary, a virgin, that she would be giving birth to the Messiah – a flood of emotions came over her. But after getting over the initial disbelief, this happy, soon-to-be a mother could not wait to share the exciting news. And so, Luke 1 says that Mary got ready and hurried to the home of her cousin Elizabeth, who was also pregnant. When Mary arrived, her words of greeting, words of good news caused the baby inside of Elizabeth to leap for joy. I love that because it shows just how powerful the Good News of Jesus can be! And like Mary, we simply cannot keep it to ourselves – the hope and joy of Jesus just has to be shared. So today, hurry to spread the Good News, because many out there are going to leap for joy.
