The same God that created heaven and earth created you, and he will uphold you today.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and have you ever, on a clear and dark night, been able to see the Milky Way? Well, did you know that our solar system, as immense as it is, is just one little, small speck on the Milky Way galaxy? It’s like, if the Milky Way galaxy were the size of the North American continent, you could probably fit our sun and planets all into a coffee cup somewhere up in the little corner of Oregon. And to think that on this teensy speck of earth, on this tiny, infinitesimally smaller-than-dust piece of earth, out of billions of people, the Lord of the universe has saved you. Psalm 19 says, oh, “The heavens declare the glory of God and the skies proclaim the work of His hands.” To me, that’s part of how the heavens declare the glory of God. Because, friend, the very same creator and upholder of the Milky Way galaxy created you – yes, you – and he will uphold you today.
