Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And it’s so beautiful to see God’s plan unfold. Proverbs 16 says, “… the Lord determines our steps.” Well, God’s plan started for Ahyme when she was born in Cuba with a disability. Life was very hard for this little girl with her many physical limitations. But when Ahyme was 19 years old, she received a wheelchair when our Wheels for the World team came to Cuba. Ahyme never forgot the kindness our Wheels team showed her. And thirteen years later, when Ahyme left Cuba and moved to Arizona, she sought out our Joni and Friends office there. And now, Ahyme serves others in Arizona with disabilities! Plus, she’s got a new wheelchair and donated her old one to Wheels for the World. How do you like that for a beautiful plan from God?!
