From small things to great, from tiny things to large, remember, friend, God is in control.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And have you ever wondered just how far God's sovereignty extends? Some people believe that God only concerns himself with big things; you know that he’s too lofty to rule over the tiny workings of everyday small stuff. They believe that God is sovereign, but in an open-ended way, leaving room for details to play themselves out. Well, this may be what some people think. But what does the Bible say? Leviticus 14 says, “When you enter the land of Canaan…and I put a spreading mildew in a house in that land, the owner of the house must go and tell the priest.” Well, friend, there you have it. Instructions from God on how to handle – mildew? Obviously, God does not think he is too lofty to rule over fungus. From small things to great, from tiny things to large, remember, friend, God is in control. You may not sweat the small stuff, but he sure does!
