Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And right before our Joni and Friends Family Retreat, Debbie’s disabled son Luke was having a rough time. They had been changing his meds and as a result he was more aggressive and emotional. Debbie was exhausted. What she really wanted to do was send the rest of the family to our retreat while she stayed home to veg in front of the TV. Boy, was Debbie glad she didn’t cave-in to that temptation. Because so many wonderful things happened at the retreat – prayers were answered; she got emotionally and spiritually recharged. And the time of worship with the family and friends doing fun stuff was just the treatment she needed.
