Today, remember that you have a heavenly purpose.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And recently, I visited a local art studio – it was a big warehouse filled with big, splashy murals. I sighed deeply; oh, what I would give to pick up a bunch of big brushes and create a wall-sized mural! But it ain’t gonna happen until heaven. And that’s why one of the items on my bucket list for my glorified body is to grab the handle of a paint bucket, get a brush, and paint up a storm – not with my mouth but with the gift of heavenly hands. In the meantime, I wait patiently. Because as 2 Corinthians 5 says, “While we are in this tent, we may groan and are burdened, because we [wish]… to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling… it is God who has made us for this very purpose.” Oh, friend please, remember you have a heavenly purpose. So, when your earthly body groans with your desire for your heavenly body, just add a wish to your glorified bucket list.
