With God you are never alone.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And isn’t it amazing how Google and YouTube and smart phones have made it so much easier to give Christian encouragement? Really, it has. My friend Delinda, who works as a mental health counselor was talking to a very depressed patient. He lamented that he felt utterly alone. Well, that’s when Delinda reached for her iPhone, pulled up YouTube, and typed in a song that I recorded last year called Alone Yet Not Alone. The words are very simple, but they convey the powerful truth of Hebrews 13:5 where God says never will I leave you, never will I forsake you. As this man listened to the song, a wonderful peace came over his face and he smiled and said to Delinda, “This is exactly how I feel right now. I’m not alone, am I?!” Delinda assured him that was right. And the same is true for you, friend. You may feel alone today but with God, you are never alone.
