If you ever feel discouraged, remember it says in the Bible that God will supply all your needs. He will keep providing for you.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And for years, my friend Judy has helped with routines to get me either out of bed or in bed at night. Not long ago, though, she broke her leg, and suddenly, I was scrambling to find helpers. Weeks went by and even though I floated my need out there, no one was turning up. Well, last Sunday morning at church, I was feeling discouraged about this. At the close of the service, I remembered I needed to take my medication, but Ken was busy. So, I flagged down Cindy who had never really assisted me at all. “Oh, Joni, she said, “I’d be thrilled to help you.” It warmed my heart to see the way Cindy enjoyed the simple task of reaching into my purse and getting me my pill and helping me drink it down. She had no idea, but to me, it was a sweet affirmation of Philippians 4:19: “My God will supply all my needs.” Like saying, "See, Joni? I brought you Cindy to help, and I'll keep providing." And you know what? He’ll do the same for you.
