Your life is in God’s hands – and that’s something you can trust.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. During the 2014 Ebola epidemic, news broke of an American missionary infected with the deadly virus. Nancy Writebol was a clinical nurse responsible for disinfecting doctors and nurses at a missionary clinic treating people with Ebola. Ironically, Nancy contracted Ebola. But rather than become angry at God for what happened, Nancy approached her near-death struggle with faith. She said, “[After I got sick,] my relationship with the Lord deepened, knowing that he was in control.” Wow! Though you and I may never be exposed to Ebola, we are all at risk of car accidents, surgical complications, falls. But we need not fear. In Job 12, Job wisely says, “In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.” Until that day comes when the Lord calls you to heaven, you can trust that your life is in the very care of his capable hands.
