When you’re feeling empty, turn to God and let His river of grace fill your heart.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. As humans, we are all looking for affirmation, affection and attention. But deep inside, what we really want is to be loved. Proverbs 19 says, “What a person desires is unfailing love.” There you have it. We all long for love that never fails. Some people look for that in people, be it our spouse, boyfriend, mother, father. Others think that sensual pleasures will never fail them. But the truth is, the only source of unfailing love is God. Just look at Psalm 36, where David says, “How priceless is your unfailing love, oh God! People… feast on the abundance of your house; you give them drink from your river of delights. For with you is the fountain of life.” Oh friend, God’s fountain never fails. His river is always flowing and flowing toward you. So today, if you’re feeling empty, open your heart: and let God fill you with His unfailing love.
