Even in all of his busyness, Jesus is upholding you with his right hand. Pause today and thank him because that’s a reason to celebrate.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And whenever I have a long day or it’s been a busy week, I know just where to open my Bible. It’s to Psalm 63, where the Psalmist says, “My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me.” Why that verse? Well, it’s amazing when you think of all the things God does with his hands. I mean with those hands he’s carved out rivers, puckered up mountain ranges, ladled out seas, dug channels for streams and springs – all kinds of things, not to mention those same hands spread wide on the cross at Calvary. And just to think that with those very hands – God upholds you and me. His “to-do” list is always full. But right now, in all his busyness, Jesus is upholding you with his right hand. That’s reason enough to pause and thank and praise him, to be still and trust in him – in the midst of all his heavenly duties, the Lord is giving you his right hand. Celebrate that today.
