A Moment with Joni Eareckson Tada

Hold on to Hope, Joy, and Peace

Episode Summary

When you get up in the morning, remember this – you can either make his grace appear empty by not trusting him, or you can make his sustaining grace famous by trusting in him.

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. There are those mornings when you wake up, only to realize your alarm didn’t go off, and you rush out the door— halfway tripping over toys —to then find a blinking “check-your-engine” light. It’s mornings like these that we need to chase away any dark, discouraging spirit bent on ‘taking you out of the battle.’ Because the Bible says that this life is a constant battle—not against flesh and blood, not against an unkempt living room or a broken alarm clock; no, this is a battle to hold on to hope, to joy, and to peace. And Ephesians 3 tells us that as we face our trials courageously, we are elevated onto a cosmic field of warfare where the stakes are about as high as you can get. So tomorrow, when you get up, remember: We either make his grace appear empty by not trusting him or we make his sustaining-grace famous by trusting him.
