Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Once when I was in large group discussion of university students, presenting a Christian perspective on some tough issues—it was like I could almost hear the groans of, “Oh, she’s one of those.” You’ve probably experienced it: you begin to talk about your hope in Christ amidst the tough circumstances of life, and people around you start groaning. Well, the truth is: you and I are “one of those.” Hebrews 10 talks about that distinguished group of “those” people when it says, “We are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved.” Christian, there is no reason to be ashamed of your faith and confidence in Jesus. Remember, you are among those who do not cower – you’re a Moses, a Noah, Sarah, Gideon, you’re a David. You are a saved believer, so hold your head up high. Endure, testify, and never lose faith.
