When someone is hurting, you can offer hope and encouragement through prayer, support, and sharing God’s resources.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. When I’m traveling, I am amazed that so many people come up to ask questions – not so much about my disability, but about handling hardship in general. I was sitting at the same airport gate with Nancy. She recognized me and began telling me about her cousin who suffered a life-altering injury – depression set in, then hopelessness followed by strong doubts about the goodness of God. Nancy asked me, “What should I do? What can I say? Is there any way you can help?” And I always say, yes. Yes, I would be happy to. After all, the Bible calls our Savior, the God of all encouragement. So, I invited Nancy to write Joni and Friends so that our staff could pray every morning for her cousin. And I invite you to do the same. Tell us about your need and we will pray and even share a few good resources. If someone’s hurting, tell us how we can serve you at joniandfriends.org.
