Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And for 30 years, Marta had carried her sister, Maura, on her back. When polio took Maura’s ability to walk, the two sisters became inseparable. Well, when our Wheels for the World outreach came to El Salvador, both Marta and Maura made sure they were there. That day, Maura received a perfectly fit wheelchair andthe Gospel of Jesus Christ. Maura accepted the Lord in her heart—and yup, you guessed it—when Marta saw her sister’s joy, she was quick to say, “Si, Si! Yo quiero Jesus, tambien;” in other words, “I want this Jesus, too!” Seeing these two sisters come to Christ was like seeing Acts 16 come to life. “Believe in the Lord Jesus,” it says, “and you will be saved—you and your household.” That verse shows God has a special purpose for your family. So, if you have received Jesus—share him with your family. And watch the family of Christ grow!
