As a Christian, you don’t win culture battles; rather, you serve the culture.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And we all know that America is going through a great social upheaval, and it is clear that even our religious liberties are in jeopardy. But did you know that religious liberty is not promised in the Bible? Rather, what is promised is persecution. I think we would all agree that in America, the church of Jesus Christ has enjoyed unprecedented freedom. But this is changing, and the new normal may include persecution that is very new to us. And this is when the church can step up to the plate; stay true to the Gospel; show compassion to the lost; remain firm in our convictions and be a shining light in a very dark culture. Now is not the time to whine and complain that our country has been hijacked by radicals. No, Christians do not win cultural battles; rather, we serve the culture. And we do so knowing that, in the end, good will triumph. So, let’s continue to pray, stay alert, and serve.
