A Moment with Joni Eareckson Tada

In a Flash

Episode Summary

Are the eyes of your heart open to see glimpses of God’s glory every day?

Episode Transcription

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. One day, as our airplane began its approach to Memphis, I leaned against the window and saw a cemetery down below. Suddenly the sun exploded off the tops of hundreds of different brass markers in a quick-fire succession of sparkling light – bam! bam! bam! All the graves flashed and dazzled as though someone were throwing firecrackers all over the cemetery. And then, in a blink of an eye, it was all over, and we had landed. That day, the Lord opened the eyes of my heart to gain a glimpse of glory, a hint of 1 Corinthians. Because friend, “We will all be changed – in a flash – in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.” Are the eyes of your heart open to see God’s glory? Today, it may be just a glimpse, but when that trumpet sounds, we will all delight in his splendor.
