Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and as a quadriplegic, I am always in need of help, so you can imagine how special it is to me when I can help someone else. Like, just the other day, I was heading through the lobby of a large medical facility when I saw a blind woman, anxiously moving her white cane back and forth. She looked like she needed help, and so, after introducing myself to her, I learned that Vicky – that was her name – she needed to get to the main entrance. So, to the main entrance we went: Vicky holding on to my wheelchair and I, guiding her to the door. God knew the needs of that woman. He put me in Vicky’s path so that I – a paralyzed woman – could serve her – a blind person. And God wants to put you in someone else’s path to offer them a helping hand, too.
