Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. For more than 12 years, Ed Robbins has served as a Chair Corps volunteer with our Wheels for the World outreach. Ed has collected many wheelchairs—but he’s also an indispensable driver. Ed really enjoys driving long distances, so he loads his trailer full of used wheelchairs, then drives them to various prisons where inmate-volunteers refurbish those chairs to like-new condition. But best of all, is Ed’s great attitude. This man loves being sent on long-distance trips that no one else would dare drive, especially in winter months and on busy holiday seasons. In Isaiah 6, the Lord asked, “Whom shall I send?” And Isaiah replied, “Here I am. Send me!” That’s the Christ-like attitude Ed has, offering help where it’s needed most.
