Shared joy multiplies praises to God.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. I have a friend Angela who used to work at our ministry. And at 5:30 in the evening, whenever I’d load up in the van to go home, Angela first would always beckon me over to the far end of the parking lot when a beautiful sunset emblazoned above the coastal hills. It was her joy to share these wonders with her friends, to praise God alongside others for his work in creation. Psalm 148 says, “Praise the Lord from the earth ... young men and maidens, old men and children.” Oh, friend, when something is worth praising God for, we’ve simply got to have others join in, right? Whether it's a sunset, a grandbaby's smile, or a beautiful painting you just hung in the living room. Your joy is multiplied when others take pleasure in that same delight with you. So, next time you experience something special, invite others in on the joy. Because shared joy always multiplies praises to God.
