Today, join Joni “under the tent,” seeking the Lord’s counsel – just like Joshua.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. In Exodus 33 we read that Moses had set up a special place of worship while in the wilderness and he called it the “Tent of Meeting.” Anyone who wanted to make a request of the Lord would have to go to the Tent of Meeting, situated just outside the camp. It was the place where God’s presence would descend. Moses would come and go from the tent, but most people would just worship from afar. But not Joshua. The Bible says that this young man would not leave the Tent of Meeting. He was there night and day, seeking the Lord’s wisdom and presence. It’s no wonder God selected Joshua as His leader! Oh friend, I don’t know about you, but I want to be like Joshua. I don’t want to worship from afar—I want to be at the center of God’s presence. So today, join me “under the tent,” seeking the Lord’s counsel, worshiping, and abiding in Him. Just like Joshua!
