Waiting on the Lord is difficult. Keep your mind stayed on Jesus, and God will keep you in perfect peace.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and it all happened so quick. I received a call that the Biblical Arts Center in Dallas, Texas, was ablaze in a six-alarm fire. And my heart dropped, because just a few months back I had entrusted 54 of my framed original oil paintings and pastels – virtually my entire portfolio – to that museum, and now, it was all in flames. Miraculously, though, my paintings survived the fire, but oh, the thoughts that raced through my mind. Waiting had not been easy. I remembered, though, the promise of Isaiah 26, “You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.” Friend, maybe you’re going through some fiery troubles right now, and the thought of not knowing the outcome is overbearing. Well, may I encourage you to hold on to the promise of Isaiah 26? Keep your mind stayed on Jesus, and God will keep you in perfect peace.
