Trust in Jesus and rely on him.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. In 2009 when Shelly Jones was still in college, she suffered two brain aneurysms that left her in a coma for three weeks. After all this and subsequent surgery, Shelly emerged blind and partially paralyzed. It was almost too much for her to bear. But in her blindness, she has taken hold of Isaiah 50 where it says, “Let him who walks in the dark, who has no light, let him trust in the name of the Lord and rely on his God.” And with this verse from Isaiah? Shelley is moving forward. She’s taken on art, is working in ceramics [where it’s more about the ‘feel of the hands than the eyes], and she’s even taken up playing the piano. Oh friend, if your circumstances seem dark and you’re groping for direction, remember, you can move forward with life. Trust in Jesus and rely on him. If the Lord can lead Shelly into the light of understanding, he can also lead you.
