Be a kingdom door opener; find a way to give Jesus to those who need him most.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And one of the nicest courtesies someone can afford me is to hold open a door. I’m in a wheelchair and unless it’s an automatic door, I need someone to “lend me a hand” and open that door for me to wheel through. And you know what? I have yet to encounter someone who refuses to open a door for me. Well, as Christians, each time we share the Gospel we are door openers for the kingdom. But some believers would rather not lend the spiritual hand to someone in need. Some think they're not very good at evangelism. But in Matthew 23 Jesus says, “Woe to you… You shut the kingdom of heaven in men's faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to.” Oh, Christian friend, don’t slam the door of salvation in another’s face. Be a kingdom door opener; find a way to give Jesus to those who need him most.
