Today, if you’re holding a grudge against God, let Jesus wash your heart.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And when you’re disabled, having any bit of mobility means so much. It’s why when Sara, who was born missing her legs, became angry at God after she lost her car in an accident. But then, Sarah reluctantly joined us for a Family Retreat. Sure, the fun and fellowship helped, but things really changed at our foot-washing service. There, she met Judy who was also missing her legs. Bless Judy’s heart, this double amputee washed the stumps of Sara. In John 17, Jesus tells his disciples, “Now that I have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.” That night, Jesus washed away Sarah’s anger, and today she has taken hold of that verse by serving people like her with disabilities. Friend, if today you are holding a grudge against God, let Jesus wash your heart. And when he does, follow in his example by serving others.
