Episode Transcription

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And do you remember classroom fights as a kid? Some children would fight with mean words, others fought with crayons and erasers. All the while the more ‘sophisticated’ fought by creating political alliances with playground buddies to ward off the offending party? You’d think we’d grow out up out of it, but no—just change the channel to a reality TV show and you’ll see grown women pulling hair and drunken men throwing punches. We need peace—and the Bible has something to say about this in James 3, where it says, “Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness.” We can change this angry landscape and grow a harvest of righteousness, and it begins with being a peacemaker. So put a stop to bickering, rivalry, factions and harsh words. Remember, today you can sow seeds of peace and in so doing help change our culture.
