You will never regret waiting on the Lord.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Psalm 27 says, “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” So, what does it mean to ‘wait for the Lord’? Waiting on the Lord means putting his desires before your own, believing that he will meet your needs with generosity and love in his good time. Of course, that’s often difficult to do. ‘Cause we want God to meet our wants, not just our needs. And we want all sorts of things right now, don’t we? It could be a special purchase. A change in jobs. A new boyfriend. A different ministry. And the truth is, you really don't want to check in with the Lord to understand his desires or to wait for his green light. Yet please know, while we may regret a hasty decision a million times over, we will never regret waiting on the Lord. So, today, fight the temptation to run ahead of God; instead, let the peace of God rule your heart as you wait on him.
