Learn from Joni’s friend Dan and realize that with Jesus, life does have meaning.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And my friend Dan was born with a significant neuromuscular disease, and he spent his last days lying down, resting inside his transparent iron lung. I’ll never forget Dan’s words when he told me, “Joni … Most people would look at me and say my life lacks any real quality—that it’s not worth the effort for me to live. But in this iron lung? I can pray. I can witness to others. I treasure my friends and family. And that makes me happy. It gives my life meaning.” Wow. In his letter to the Philippians, the Apostle Paul, though facing hardships, prison, and old age “pressed on” always praying for others and defending the Gospel.
