Through Wheels for the World, inmates not only restore wheelchairs but also experience God’s restoration in their own lives.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada with a story about a life transformed. As you know, our Wheels for the World outreach ministers to people in need of a wheelchair somewhere in the world, but it’s also a ministry to the prisoners at our Restoration Centers who work hard at restoring our wheelchairs to like-new condition. Just recently, I heard from Neil, a prisoner, who wrote, “Wheels for the World means a lot to me. It’s given me the chance to right some of the wrongs I have done, and I know that my work on these wheelchairs makes a difference in the world.” Wow! When I read Neil’s note I thought of Psalm 23, where it says, “He restores my soul.” I love that – as these prisoners restore our wheelchairs; God restores their souls. So, friend, join me in praying for the inmates in our Restoration Centers. And then learn more about Wheels for the World at joniandfriends.org.
