If you feel like your life is hard, keep trusting in God – there’s greater glory on the horizon!
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Living in a wheelchair as long as I have, well, it can feel overwhelming. Life can be really hard. But guess what keeps my heart happy, my attitude bright, and my focus sharp? It’s best explained by 2 Corinthians 4:17 where it says, “For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.” Since it is actually our troubles that produce the glory, well, the greater the affliction suffered, the greater the glory these troubles may well be producing for us! And the only catch – we must trust God. Trust him when life is really hard. But as we do, our troubles – my wheelchair and quadriplegia – feel lighter and lighter, almost momentary as the Scripture says. So, if your troubles are piling on today, if you feel like life is hard, keep trusting in the God of the Bible. Because there’s a greater glory awaiting you on your horizon!
