Episode Transcription

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Recently I heard about a Christian preschool in Austin, Texas that helps teach kindergarteners how to be a friend to someone with a disability. This pre-school helps kids understand that we all struggle with something and as followers of Jesus, we can support one another in our weaknesses. These kids learned from Galatians 6 that we can lighten each other’s loads as we: “Share each other’s burdens …” Well, these kindergarteners caught the vision; and they wanted to make a difference. So, when their teacher told them about our Wheels for the World outreach these kids came up with ways they could earn money. One boy raised $400 by recycling golf balls. And in total they raised $3200 and helped sponsor 180 wheelchairs for disabled kids overseas! Wow! To help the kids you know catch the vision, just visit joniandfriends.org for great ideas!
