If the fears of this world or your circumstances are crowding you, listen to the uplifting voice of your Savior. He will help you.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. When problems pile on, it’s so hard to keep your mind at peace. For my friend Melanie who’s just been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, sometimes it’s the terrifying pain of her illness that keeps her up at night; and often, it’s the fear of the unknown. Melanie told me, “Joni, it scares me to think that there will be a time when I won’t be able to drive or that my children will be embarrassed by me.” Oh my goodness, my heart aches for Melanie—because from my wheelchair, I, too, have dealt with many fears of the future. It’s why I shared with her this verse from Isaiah 42. There God says, “For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, ‘Do not fear; I will help you.’” Friend, if the fears of this world or your circumstances are crowding you in, listen to the uplifting voice of your Savior say to you today, “I will help you.”
