Tune in to hear Joni talk about why marriage vows are so important.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And I was once asked, “Joni, what’s the most important thing you do?” Now I could have said disability advocacy or delivering wheelchairs to Africa, but no. My response: “Being a good wife to my husband.” And I mean it! My commitment to my marriage vows places me in a profoundly significant relationship with the most important human being on earth: Ken Tada. And if I can't be faithful in loving him, how can I tout “faithfulness” in a ministry to millions? Ephesians 5 says, “Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.” Friend, Christ has been so faithful in loving me, his bride, that I want to make it my goal to love my husband in the same way. So, listening husbands, wives, fiancés or anyone in the dating scene, remember when you follow Jesus, love that person in the same way that Christ loves you.
