A Moment with Joni Eareckson Tada

Move Mountains

Episode Summary

Even when your faith seems tiny, don’t lose hope. All it takes is just a little faith for God to do big things in your life!

Episode Transcription

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And once when we were in Bethany near Jerusalem, my friend Bunny came to me holding seeds in her hand. With great joy she said, “Joni, look! These are mustard seeds. If we have faith the size of one of these, we can move mountains!” When I saw those seeds were the size of a pea, I frowned. I mean, mustard seeds were the smallest of all seeds – but these were, well, pretty big! Bunny then cracked one open and gently spread the infinitesimally, tiny black specks across her palm. The pea-sized pod contained thousands of breathlessly, small mustard seeds. And tears filled my eyes. I was so encouraged to know that my faith in prayer could be that small, that faint and still, God could move mountains in my life. So, friend, don’t lose hope – even when your faith seems teeny – because all it takes is just a little faith, for God to do big things.
