Join Joni in praying for abandoned children with disabilities – God hasn’t forgotten them.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Five years ago in Thailand, little Amee was born with spina bifida, and her mother abandoned her. And so, Amee was left to be raised by her father, who sat her by the side of the road and left her there, all day, while he scratched out a living as a farmer in Thailand. But in Isaiah 49, the Lord says that although a woman can forget her child, “yet I will not forget you,” he says. You see, God had not abandoned Amee, nor had he forgotten her plight. Through our Joni and Friends associates in Thailand, we were able to fit Amee into a pediatric wheelchair and move her into a caring orphanage, where her father visits her whenever possible. Today, Amee has a whole new family who supports her with the love of Christ. Join me in praying for abandoned children with disabilities, like Amee, would you? Because if God has not forgotten them, neither should we.
