If ever there’s a miracle that’s about to happen, it’ll almost always be through prayer.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Five months into Brooklyn’s pregnancy, she and her husband Nick learned their baby boy had hydrocephalus. It was so extreme that specialists quit measuring the fluid on his brain. Doctors warned the parents that their baby had a 90 percent chance of dying or having severe mental impairments. Thousands of people prayed for Nick and Brooklyn as they trusted God with the unknown. Then a miracle happened, little baby Charlie was born with no evidence of hydrocephalus. The doctors were confounded – “We do not have and cannot come up with a medical explanation for what we’ve witnessed here.” But Nick said, “I give all the credit and glory to God.” Psalm 66 says, “Come and see what our God has done, what awesome miracles.” Friend, if there’s to be a miracle, it’ll happen through prayer. Just ask Brooklyn and Nick.
