Episode Transcription

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And my neighbor, Bob, is a skeptic who prides himself on hisdisbelief. When I once asked him if he had a Bible, he said, “Nope!” And I said, “Well, would you like a Bible?” “Nope.” How about a Bible that's easy to – “nope.” Sometime later Bob had to have a knee replacement which landed him in a nursing home for a couple of weeks. When Ken went to see him, I made sure to send Bob one of my books – a book with lots of the Bible in it. I wasn’t sure if he would receive it, but he did! Actually, that shouldn’t be a surprise. You see, prior to sending the book, I had prayed Ezekiel 36 over Bob: that God would remove his cynical heart of stone and replace it with a receptive heart of flesh. And now? Bob’s a lot more open to the Bible. So, if you know someone like my neighbor, don’t give up sharing your faith! New hearts are a specialty of the Lord’s.
