Examine your heart and live today from the inside out.
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada asking, do you live from the outside in? Or the inside out? I remember once talking with Lisa who confessed she was having trouble “acting” like a real Christian. Lisa seemed to be more troubled about how she was coming across on the outside than she was about what had to be happening on the inside. Lisa just wasn’t seeing the connection between her conduct and her heart. And aren’t we all a bit like her? We agree Bible reading and prayer are important; we say “amen” to a call to help the needy, but is that “amen” coming from the heart, or just our lips? First Corinthians 4 says, “For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.” Oh friend, you can't “shape” your godliness; but you can let godliness shape you. And it is God's power that will then affect everything you do and say. So, examine your heart and live today, from the inside out.
