Episode Transcription

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. When Carlos’ parents heard that our Wheels for the World was coming to Mexico, they made the long hike with their disabled son to our distribution. There, three-year-old Carlos received a new pediatric wheelchair, and his parents heard the Gospel of Christ in the Spanish language. Carlos’ family could not stop thanking our team for having left the comfort of their American homes to help a foreigner in need. But our team reassured them that they are not foreigners; they are our neighbors. And in the Gospels Jesus said, “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Romans 15 tells us to build up our neighbor and Ephesians calls us to speak truth with our neighbor. Do you have a heart for your neighbors? Then pray about joining a future Wheels for the World outreach to our neighbors south of the border. Learn more at joniandfriends.org. Again, Wheels for the World at joniandfriends.org.
